We want to make everything as easy and transparent for you as possible when we work together. On this page, we’ve created an all inclusive layout of our process with (hopefully) as much detail as you could ever need to know.
We’ll start with an initial meeting to layout everything you want and need from working with us. This is also a good time for us to set expectations around timing, communication, and processes. We want to hear any sort of inspiration or creative direction from you that could help us create exactly what you want out of a website.
We’ll ask you to provide us with an outline or list of the type of information you want to include on your website. No need to have any written copy yet, but we just want to be sure we’re able to plan and design around your information needs. Once we’ve gathered that information, we’ll work together to establish a site map before moving into wireframes. Think of this as listing out the structure of pages, sections, or subsections that need to be included on the website.
Once we have an outline of the information to be included on the website, we’ll be able to create some rough sketches of how that information will fit together to create a cohesive design. We’ll work together to establish the scaffolding of the website before moving into design details such as colors, typography, etc.
Before moving into full webpage mock-ups, we’ll create a few different style sheets for you to look at to determine which design direction you want the website to go in. This will include elements such as color palettes, typographic treatments, button styles, image layouts, and any other graphic elements to give you a sense of what the website will look like. This step allows us to be more efficient by establishing a design system before designing the website in its entirety.
Once we’ve nailed down a design direction, we’ll use Figma
to create high fidelity designs for the entire website. During this phase, we’ll need your help by providing us with the complete written copy for the website delivered in a Google Doc. We’ll also need any photography provided in a Google Drive or WeTransfer link.
Figma allows us to create a working prototype of the website, so you’ll be able to scroll and click through this prototype before we move into the development phase.
